Christians have been blessed beyond measure by our Heavenly Father! This is, in fact, an understatement. We have been given numerous benefits while in this life.
We are all motivated by something in our lives. One of the greatest motivations a Christian can possess is to have a proper attitude towards the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are called to faithfulness!
The Apostle Paul calls Jesus “the Blessed Hope” in Titus 2:13. Christians who hold to this great and precious truth will be closer to the Lord. We will seek Him more. We will want to know all there is to know about the Bible, preaching and teaching “the whole counsel of God.” We will cultivate a greater love for the lost.
If we truly believe that Jesus could come at any moment, that will dictate how we live. We will desire to be more active in the Lord’s work. There is work in the Kingdom for all of us. Countless numbers are lost. It is our privilege to tell them
of the saving grace of Jesus. Jesus may come today! Are we working for Him? Only you can answer that question. The Bible tells us we are saved by grace, through faith, in baptism, unto good works. Let’s be looking for the return of the Blessed Hope everyday! But, while we are waiting and watch ing, let’s be active in the work of the Lord.
