Christians are called to a dedicated life. Putting on Christ means being inducted into the army of the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul wrote about this in II Timothy 4:6-8. The Christian life is comprised of a fight to fight, a course to keep and a faith to keep. We have a common enemy, Satan. We have the Lord Jesus as our Commander-in-Chief. He is ever with us in the front lines. If we follow the course set before us, we will be keeping “the faith once delivered to the saints” when we reach the lost with the Gospel. Are YOU, my fellow Christian, serving honorably in the Lord’s army? If not, start obeying the marching orders of the Lord Jesus Christ! (Matthew 28:20)
